Hello! We are CUBO'S HOLIDAY HOMES, specialised in holiday accommodations since 2005.

Discover Villa Esmeralda, a recently renovated accommodation located in the quiet area of Las Chícharas, in Alhaurín el Grande. Here you will find the perfect balance between rural life and proximity to the city, as it is only 10 minutes from the centre and 25 minutes from the airport and Malaga. 🚗✨

The villa, designed for 6 people, has a spacious garden of 1300 square metres divided into terraces that offer different environments to enjoy. Children can play freely in a flat area without trees, while adults relax on the terrace with spectacular views of the Guadalhorce Valley and the Axarquía. 🌳🌄

The chill out area will only be available from 15 June to 15 September; in mid and low season, other outdoor furniture will be enabled.

The private swimming pool, with a kidney-shaped design, is equipped with umbrellas and sun loungers to enjoy the sun with total comfort and safety, as it is completely fenced to protect the little ones. 🏊‍♂️🌞

The interior of the house offers a living-dining room with a fireplace, direct access to the balcony-terrace and an independent kitchen fully equipped with crockery and small appliances to facilitate your stay. 🍽️🔥

The villa has three bedrooms:
- Main bedroom with a double bed and private bathroom with bathtub.
- Second bedroom with a double bed.
- Third bedroom with two single beds.

We really loved our stay in Villa Esmeralda. The Villa is very spacious and has everything you need for your stay. The pool, terrace and garden are beautiful. The Villa is in a lovely quiet area and only a 15 minute walk downhill into the town. Andres was so helpful and really made us feel welcome. Alhurín el Grande is a lovely town with great restaurants. The Villa is a 30 minute drive to the airport and to beautiful beaches. We'll be back!

We didn't bother hiring a car and instead relied on taxi's when we wanted to venture out, but mostly we wanted to relax within the villa. Villa was great and spacious which was just what we wanted as we took the grandparents along. We didn't feel like we were on top of each other at all. So much space outside. Love that the pool is gated as was very handy with a 2 year old.

There are beautiful hiking trails in the area if you want to spend some time in the mountains. Besides that the host was very friendly and always available to answer any questions. Our family vacation with 2 kids (8+2) was fantastic. The house was super clean, had the right amount of utensils, and the garden and pool area is just a dream. Andres is the perfect host. Upon arrival there was a preordered pizza waiting for us, when I had trouble with the BBQ he arrived within 10 min (on Saturday evening) and he did everything for making our stay as easy as possible.Just as the check-in, the check-out worked super smoothly and without any issues. We certainly would love to come back some time.

Five of us stayed for one week. The villa is located in an area with other villas, you don't notice the neighbours as the villa is private but you are not in the middle of nowhere. Short drive to a large mercadona supermarket. The town of Alhaurin el Grande is bustling and has plenty of shops, restaurants etc. The garden is beautiful well maintained, pretty and large with enough space to find your own little private space. The pool was just the right size for a dip/short swim and the villa has everything you need. Andres is the owner who communicated with us before we arrived and also met us at the villa - he is lovely friendly, accommodating and efficient in replying to messages - thank you!!. We gave him 500 euros deposit cash on arrival, he signed a receipt for payment and arranged to give us back the cash before we left the villa once it had been checked over. We had a lovely time. Thank you.

Excellent holiday stay. Andres met us at the villa and explained everything to us really well. He was always contactable for any questions during our stay. The villa was extremely clean, comfortable and well equipped. The private pool was lovely and also well kept. The pool is gated so very safe for little ones. The gardens are beautiful as are the views. I would suggest a car for your stay as the villa is a short distance away from the main town Alhaurín el Grande. The town is great with plenty of choice of restaurants, bars and shops. Apparently walkable but we didn’t try as we had a two year old with us. I would definitely recommend and we will certainly book again in the future.

Everything from start to finish was superb. Andres, the owner, was easy to speak to, organised, and accomodating. We found the area to be peaceful with lovely views and close enough to the airport to make driving easy. There was a good selection of local restuarants and bars, without it being too busy and they were a good price.The Villa was really nice. The outside area, pool and gardens were really well maintained and kept very clean. Our family loved spending all day in the pool, and the air conditioning in the villa was a nice break for our baby every so often. The villa had everything you could hope for and we intend on returnig for sure. Thanks, Andrew

Villa Esmeralda was absolutely stunning and superbly presented. Everything was clean, easy to access and explained by the host upon arrival (he even got the travel cot out super quickly as he hadn't been informed of our request, but it was no hassle at all for him). The host was very friendly and communicated easily via WhatsApp if we needed him! We stayed during mid July when it was super hot, the AC in every room was perfect and worked flawlessly, essential when it's nearly 35+ deg C each day with kids. The villa was suitable for us with a 1 year old and 4 year old, the gated pool an absolute bonus. The garden was stunning too and offered loads of entertainment for the littles ones. The living area was lovely and comfy and kitchen well equipped. In the evenings we could sit outside, with loads of seating options, we enjoyed sitting around the pool with our feet up! It was quiet and very private! Access up the property is easy, a hire car is essential, and we visited loads of places in under an hours drive including Aquamijas water park (excellent for little ones as well as old ones), Mijas Pueblo, Pueblo Banus and Selwo Aventura. We loved Alhaurin el Grande too, plenty of street parking if you want to go to a coffee shop or for ice cream (heladaria El Mori). Plenty of supermarkets too, the best one for variety is Mercadona with an indoor carpark (very tight though!) Overall we loved our stay, our children loved it,

I can only rave about this property, it's location, the town of Alhaurin del Grande and the host Andres. The house is beautiful, had everything we needed with a perfect size pool and a great yard for the kids to play in. The location is perfect - away from the hustle and bustle of Malaga in a quiet neighborhood and equidistantly located between Granada, Cordoba and Seville. The restaurants in town are a nice leisurely walk from the house. Andres the host is a delight to deal with. He is a great guy, extremely helpful and very responsive. Thank you Andres for renting your beautiful house to us and making our visit a memorable one. I would highly recommend Villa Esmeralda to anyone.

There is a lot to do nearby malaga, torremolinos, Mijas, kayaking in Nerja and Caminotto del rey, so the location is great. It is a quiet location with ultimate privacy. Location is great with easy access to the town and the many restaurants. Also close to golf courses and other towns .

Great building but needs some updating . The bathrooms in particular need modernisation and improved heating for the water. Beds also could be improved.

The great sofa area by the pool was fantastic (this is not in the photos at the present time so a great surprise). There is a short drive to the local town which has a lovely selection of restaurants and a couple of supermarkets.

The property was perfect. We were two families of 3, we had more than enough room for us all, a bathroom for each family as well as outside bathroom facilities, shower &, toilet. The pool was lovely, very clean and just deep enough for the two boys. The garden is stunning and is very well looked after. Andres was a lovely host, showed us around the property on arrival, and kindly collected us from town after we had done our shopping as we were quite early. The property had everything we needed and was just like being at home, every kitchen utensil you needed, a BBQ which was used every day and so much seating we were spoilt for choice. Really lovely holiday, we will definitely be back and will highly recommend.

Fabulous Villa both inside and outside. Very clean and the outdoor seating area on the veranda was fabulous. Barbeque area was covered but could be retracted if sun was not too hot which gave great flexibility to dine outside no matter time of dayevening. Andres was very welcoming and communicated routinely via whatsapp during the week. Location and views are stunting and still only 25-30 minutes drive to the main resorts of Malaga/Torremillos etc. Pool was perfect as the 1.5 meter max depth allowed safe swimming area for our son and was relaxing for us to have that freedom. Highly recommend this villa.

This was our fifth time to visit Alhaurin el Grande and we have now found the perfect location and house to stay. We had a wonderful 8 days at Villa Esmeralda. We especially loved the gated pool which made it extra safe for my little boy, and the beautiful garden which is so nicely kept. We also had some lovely walks around the area which has such stunning views. In the daytimes we loved to use the pool and the terraced area around it and the evening sun gets the front of the house where we could sit and enjoy a book overlooking the view. Andres was a fantastic host, we ran out of hot water one day and he replied instantly and was with us within an hour. We cannot wait to return!

The house stands on a beautiful plot. The swimming pool is just big enough to have lots of fun with the hole family. If you have younger children access to the pool is easy to shield with the lockable gates. So no stress about the safety of your small children. The garden has more than enough space, so if you want to play football,just need some privacy, that's also possible. Thanks to the different seating areas on the porch (BBQ area), in the gardenby the pool. Entering the site by car is exciting the first time, but you can park your vehicle protected. So no unexpected parking damage (unless you cause them yourself :) )The villa itself is very neat, clean and fully equipped, such as excellent WiFi, air conditioning, a good kitchen and shutters. The beds are a bit on the small side for tall people (> 1.90 m.), but of sufficient quality.The host (Andres) is a a kind and gentle guy. He's the kind of person who goes the extra mile to make sure you have a good time. Despite the small language barrier, communicating with him via WhatsApp was fast and adequate. 9 out of 10 times he wil answer immediately. All together, we just had a perfect holiday at Villa Esmeralda!

This villa is all on one level, the garden is stunning and pool a really nice size with attractive fence around. Perfect for a family as there is also an outside toilet so no wet feet coming in and out and the plot is totally secure. aircon good and was wifi. can walk to town in 20 mins but its up hill all the way back. Taxi cost €10 in the evening. Many lovely restaurants in town.

more crockery, glasses etc as although there is 6 often they are in the dishwasher so more are needed. 2 keys would be useful as difficult to split up with only 1 key.

We had a wonderful time staying here for a week in September. The villa nice, but what sets this property apart from others we have stayed in, is the garden and pool area. The gardens are huge and beautifully kept. Flower beds and even a mint plant (which helped make some mojitos for drinking round the pool). The pool has steps going in and is long enough for swimming. There is also a separate shower and toilet in a small out building next to the pool, which was ideal when we were sunbathing and going in and out the pool. Also, travelling with a toddler I am always worried about the pool area and access to stairs, but each part of the garden has gates that you can close off. The villa looks over a field area with olive trees and views to the valley and the mountains beyond. It is in a residential area all made up from large self contained villas. It is around a mile walk to the town centre which has plenty of shops, cafes, and restaurants. As we were travelling during Covid 19 restrictions we didn't eat out in the town, but going into shops and having a coffee in the town everyone was strictly following the regulations which was reassuring. The villa is well placed for day trips. Mijas is only 20 minutes away (well worth a trip) Malaga and Ronda are all within an hour'sso drive. I would highly recommend this Villa. The host, Andres, couldn't have been more helpful. He was very flexible with arrival and leaving time and gave us a comprehensive tour making sure we knew how to work everything. He even gives the guests access to his Netflixs account, which is always helpful when you have a child to wind down at night. Nice villa, beautiful setting, wonderful host, and stunning views.

“Beautiful private villa on a hillside with stunning views across the valley. The villa is very well maintained, comfortable and clean inside with air con in all the bedrooms and living area. Basics are provided, toilet roll, kitchen roll, cling film. The garden is beautiful and the pool area and terraces are immaculate with plenty seating to capture the vista and sunsets. There is a small out building at the back door which houses a toilet, shower cubicle and washing machine, thus no need for pool soaked bodies to travel through the house. We had a hire car as we wanted to tour around Andalucia therefore cannot comment on local transport facilities. The parking area through the gate is a bit awkward to access but manageable - best to reverse in. It is a 30 minute walk from the villa to the nearest main street where there are cafes, bars etc. We did find tapas bars and cafes in quieter spots further into the old town. The chap in the tourist information centre was very helpful and signposted us to local events and amenities. Overall we would highly recommend this villa and we send a warm thank you to Andres our host”

My sister and I have just returned from a fantastic holiday at Cubo’s Villa Esmeralda in Alhaurín el Grande Malaga ( 16th to 22nd June 2019). We were greeted by our lovely host Andres at the prearranged location to collect the keys, who then escorted us the short distance to the Villa. From the moment you walk through the door, the villa is so welcoming and safe, the three large bedrooms with comfortable beds, shower rooms/toilets and living spaces are all spotlessly clean. The outdoor pool and terrace with mountain and garden views are spectacular. This villa would be ideal for younger families too, as the pool area is securely gated. The villa is in an elevated quiet residential location, a car would be beneficial, although we used the friendly local taxi service throughout the week, we did walk the 2 kilometres into town in around 20 mins , here there is a good selection of bars and restaurants and we returned by taxi cost around €6. We would definitely recommend Villa Esmeralda to anyone seeking a truly relaxing holiday, along with the perfect host Andres , who was always available whenever needed.

Family of four, two children aged six and two for 12 days in September 2019. Lovely accommodation all on one floor - all perfectly clean. Lots of outside terrace with a mix of sunshade. Very nice pool with gates that can stop little ones getting to it when you don't want them to. Absolutely superb garden - the photos don't do it justice - loads of space for the children to run around - steps look slightly terrifying to start with, but they soon get used to them. Andres could not be more helpful. You will need a car to get into townfor shopping.

Villa Esmerelda is an excellent villa, from the first arrival through the secure gates you are met with a beautiful home. Andres gave a guided tour in Spanish and English explaining all the fixtures and fittings. The house has 3 big bedrooms all with individual aircon units (a must in 34/36 temperatures), the lounge is very comfortable again with aircon, the kitchen is well equipped with lots of crockery and a dishwasher. The garden and terraces are stunning with 20 outdoor seats, we were challenged to sit in each one at least once. At any time of the day there is sun and shade to be found. The pool is stepped and refreshingly cool, it can be closed off with gates if desired, again in sun for most of the day. Cleaning equipment and big bags available and a washing machine. The villa is on one level but the garden is multi stepped and not for mobility challenged persons. Alhuarin el Grande is a lovely town with many restaurants and supermarkets 15/20 minutes hilly walk. La Calle Mijas is a beautiful beach with toilets and food outlets, market on Wednesdays. Tivoli World is an evening only, amusement park excellent for those up to 12 yrs, lovely atmosphere and beautiful when all the lights come on, open till 1am. I would strongly recommend this property to everyone, only 25 minutes from the airport.

As parents with a 2 year old daughter, we immediately fell in love with the villa. As we arrived (in april 2019), the scent of the blossoms together with the smile of the host was very welcoming. We were the first visitors renting the villa, but we were surprised that our host had fully equipped everything. The inside is much cooler than the outside and every room had also airconditioning, in case it is getting very warm. Our daughter loved playing at the pool area, which can be closed off when nobody is there. She also loved the many playgrounds in the village and eating icecream everyday :D. We went 3 days hiking in the area (with many orange-, olive- and lemontrees), visited Ronda, Malaga and Marbella and went to the zoo in Fuengirola. Due to the caring attitude of the host, it has been a pleasant stay. Normally we don't visit the same place twice, but since it has been so wonderful, we are really considering it.

Wir haben die Zeit in der Villa sehr genossen. Es fehlte an Nichts. Das Haus ist sehr sauber und gepflegt. Im Garten gibt es die Möglichkeit Badminton oder Fussball zu spielen. Bei Fragen ist Andrès sehr gut zu erreichen (WhatsApp/Handy). Eine defekte Kaffeemaschine hat er sofort ausgetauscht.Der CheckIn, sowie Checkout verlief ohne Probleme. Nicht weit von der Villa entfernt, haben wir den BioParc, die Seilbahn in Benalmadena, Torremolinos, Malaga und Marbella besucht. Alle Orte sind mit dem Auto schnell erreicht.Die Villa können wir definitiv weiterempfehlen. Danke Andrès.
